Christmas Message

This is our blog and we are going to try to be better in the new year about posting to it so that friends and family can read about Eddie (yes, it is all about the boy, now)!

I hope to post at least as often as I add photos to the web album: http://picasaweb.google.com/ctydings. I will not always send out emails, but check back often to see what we are up to and how the little one is growing.

2007 was full of change for us. Our family grew on Good Friday, April 6...Edward William was born. We were so excited to meet him. As most of you know, we decided to wait to find out if it was a boy or girl and were so thrilled that we have this precious little boy.

I decided to stay home this school year with him and am enjoying watching him grow and become a big boy! I do miss all of the friends that I worked with, but it is worth it to spend time with my two Eddies. We do go to a play group with some friends from church on Wednesday afternoons and a Kindermusik class on Thursday morning. Eddie loves the music class and the new friends that he has met. There are three little boys that are almost the same age as Eddie. It has been fun watching them begin interacting with one another.

Eddie has already been a wonderful traveller. We drove to Atlanta in May to watch Uncle Mike graduate from college. We flew to Rochester in September for Grandma and Grandpa Wischmeyer's 60th wedding party. Unfortunately, we had to fly to Rochester in October for Grandma Tydings' funeral.

I think with all of that travelling, Eddie was able to meet almost all of his relatives. Not bad for someone with an extended family out of state and less than a year old. (I think we still have a few in Texas to meet.)

Let me tell you about a few of Eddie's milestones that I can remember:
He rolled over for the first time on July 26th (know the exact date as it is my birthday)
He started military crawling in September and October, before that he moved around mostly by rolling.
He started cutting his first tooth on December 6th.

Eddie's had trouble eating solid foods. We tried cereal and different fruit and veggies and for a while we had a little bulimic baby. He just did not want to keep the food down in the evenings. However, we kept trying, even if it was more of just a mess than any actual food getting in his belly (just look at some of the pictures). Just in the past week is he starting to want to eat solids and opening his mouth for the spoon.

Eddie is such an good baby. He really does not get very fussy unless he is very hungry, overly tired or a very dirty diaper. You can probably see from the pictures that he smiles a lot. That makes a mommy and daddy very happy.

We are so blessed to have this wonderful little one in our live and it is all about him these days.

After Christmas, I will try to start posting more often and feel free to reply or send me an email if I have been too long without a post or pictures on the web album.

We love you all and hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!!!
