We're back!!!

I guess it has been long enough since I updated. As most of you that check this know, I had a miscarriage last month. We are recovering from that and getting excited about trying again. At lease we know that we can get pregnant.
I guess it is also blessing that things happened the way it did as some interesting opportunities have come up recently.
I was asked to help with our 6th grade orientation program called "WEB." So I will be very busy before school starts training 8th graders to give the 6th grade orientation. I had a wonderful training for the program at Lakeway Inn before Spring Break (lots of wonderful food, snacks and a huge flat screen TV in the room).
The Muffolettos came to visit for Spring Break and helped to reorganize and redecorate our office/craft room. It looks very cool and I hope to get some pictures and post them in the near future. My sister and brother-in-law are so awesome! I can't wait for Jamie and Marie to return this summer so we can get the other room painted and decorated (maybe some help in the rest of the house??!)!
We are hoping that my dad is still in Egypt this summer and Eddie and I might decide to take a trip to visit him. I am trying to not get too excited...this would be such a trip of a lifetime for me. It is one of those places in the world that I have always wanted to go (got the Greece thing out of the way a few years ago). It would be so neat to experience this with my husband! (so, dad, hope you stay, even if you're not hip on the new management--- I'm being selfish!)
Eddie has been spending a lot of time working in the yard. He has been trying to get rid of weeds and grass from areas that we neglected. He has been doing such a wonderful job!! It is looking great.
For anyone that sent Eddie money for his birthday, it went toward a new tree in our backyard. We got a burr oak. As soon as it starts to leaf out, I will take pictures and post.
Someone told Eddie this week that they have seen the hummingbirds, so we are going to have to start boiling some water and get our feeders out. Again, as soon as we get them I will take pictures and post.
Well, I really need to start grading some papers and get ready for another day. Not too long before the end of the school year!!
love to everyone

First Appointment

I had my first appointment on Monday. It seemed like just a normal yearly appointment with blood taken and extra info. Right now it looks as if the baby will be due on August 26th. (I'm sure most know this is just an arbitrary date.) I will go in for exams monthly until around June and then every 2 weeks. Next month the doc is doing a sort of ultrasound that will give a better idea of the due date.

Since my stomach problems Friday, I am feeling much better -- just tired and busy grading papers.

Hope everyone is well and will update more when I know more!

First appointment and update

My first doctor appointment is tomorrow, so I will update what he says sometime after that.

Just a little update on how I have been feeling. Last week my tummy was upset most days and I just ate lots of crackers and drank lots of ginger ale. I got very sick on Friday. I thought it was the start of morning sickness. However, it appears I either had food poisoning or a bad virus. Eddie had to give me some IV fluids on Friday night. I finally ate more than toast and crackers last night. I am finally feeling somewhat better. I sure hope that does not come back!

More pictures of the tower

We went back to campus tonight and took a few pictures. I hope that everyone enjoys them! I've only put a few of them here -- but they are some of the better ones!

The National Championship

On Friday night, we went (along with thousands of others) down to campus to take pictures of the tower. For those who do not know the tradition, when UT wins games, the upper part of the tower is orange. When we beat Texas A&M and win Big 12 & national championships, the entire tower is orange. The only time the tower has the 1 on each side is for a National Championship. It's pretty neat!
We still have not bought championship shirts yet -- we walked over to the Co-op (school bookstore) and there was a line down the street.
I think we might go down again Sunday night to try to get some more and better shots of the tower. I did not have my tripod and so most turned out blurry (this turned out ok because I rested the camera against something). Plus, with the tripod, we can set the timer and possibly get a picture of us with the tower!

Roses!

Eddie brought me some beautiful roses the day after the rose bowl!!

Football is good!

UT 41 -- USC 38
National Champions!!!!!!

Can you believe it? I wish I could have stayed awake to watch it all. I thought that I would just close my eyes for a few seconds in the 3rd quarter. I was woke up to a ringing phone and Christine and Mark's congratulations..... This pregnancy thing is already taking it's toll. To not stay awake for the biggest UT football event!! This child better make it up to me in the future!

Happy New Year

I hope that everyone had a wonderful New Year's!! Happy 2006!

OK -- so I didn't get to the computer yesterday. We got up late and went to the grocery store. I had a coupon in the mail to get a free lunch for two, so we went to our new HEB Plus store had lunch and walked around (for those who do not know, it is a huge grocery store with extras, kind of like super walmart or super target -- but more of the grocery side!). We spent a little more than 2 hours -- they have a ton of baby things, beds, strollers, car seats, high chairs, etc. Came home, went to church, came home, made dinner, and then went back to church for a New Year's Eve party.

I've started downloading the pictures from Christmas. It's going to take a while -- over 200. Once I do that and go through some, I will post a couple later today (unless I decide to venture out to the movie or to the Harry Ransom Center for the last day of an Ansel Adams exhibit).

In Austin

We arrived home this afternoon and have not done much of anything. Eddie had another headache and I played and snuggled with Lacey.
I will spend some time tomorrow and post some pictures from Christmas and add some more!
Happy New Year!

Christmas in NY

Well, it really has not been that cold here (I have not had to use my arctic coat). I say that tonight, but I think that it is supposed to get colder before we leave on Friday.
We have had a great time visiting with relatives and sharing our news with everyone. We shared with most of the Tydings clan at Grandpa Tydings' grave on Christmas Eve morning where everyone gathered to put a wreath. Taylor (Jeff - Eddie's brother- and Lisa's little girl) announced to the Wishchmeyer side that I had a baby in my tummy.
We have had a wonderful Christmas and received so many nice gifts from family. I'm really not sure what to write tonight. I have been tired so Eddie, his brothers and parents went to Jeff and Lisa's to play cards. I am just resting. I have had a severe allergy attack that came on the day we left and is not letting up. So far, no sickness from pregnancy (that I can tell).
When we get home, I will post some pictures from the trip and more. I'm going to go lay down right now.
I hope everyone reading this had a wonderful Christmas!
